Introduction

Generally, the function of the Security and Public Order Division is to maintain peace, ensure internal and border security, and enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement in order to safeguard the harmony and well-being of the people of Malaysia.

The Division essentially encompasses three (3) main scopes, namely public security and order, border security, and the aspects of prevention, rehabilitation, and strategic coordination. These scopes are realised through the implementation of relevant laws under the responsibility of this Division, namely:
