Acknowledgement of Incomplete Entry Permit Appeals
To ensure that an Acknowledgement of Receipt or notification is issued to applicants for Entry Permit appeal applications that are incomplete or non-compliant with regulations within 14 working days from the date the application is received. -
Preparation of Entry Permit Appeal Recommendation Papers
To ensure that the recommendation paper for Entry Permit appeals is prepared within 30 working days from the date the complete case file is received from the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM). -
Approval or Cancellation of International Student Intake
To ensure that decisions on approval or cancellation of applications by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) for the intake of international students by Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) / Private Education Institutions (PEIs) / Accredited Training Centres (ATCs) are issued within 14 working days from the date of receiving a complete application. -
Decision on Professional Visit Pass / Social Visit Pass Appeals
To ensure that decisions on appeal applications for the Professional Visit Pass or Social Visit Pass are issued within 14 working days from the date of receiving a complete application. -
Decision on Applications for Non-Source Country Foreign Domestic Helpers and Male Domestic Helpers
To ensure that decisions on applications for employing Foreign Domestic Helpers from non-source countries and Male Domestic Helpers are issued within 14 working days from the date of receiving a complete application. -
Handling of Expatriate Appeal Applications Rejected Twice by JIM
To ensure effective and efficient handling of expatriate appeal applications that have been rejected twice by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) as follows:-
i. From the date of receiving a complete application, verified or supported by the relevant regulatory agency, to submission of a memorandum to the Secretary General: 14 working days

ii. From the date of the Secretary General’s decision to applicant notification: 5 working days

Handling of Expatriate Appeals for Foreign Media Personnel
To ensure effective and efficient handling of expatriate appeal applications for foreign media personnel as follows:-
i. From the date of receiving a complete application, verified or supported by the relevant regulatory agency, to submission of a memorandum to the Secretary General: 14 working days

ii. From the date of the Secretary General’s decision to applicant notification: 5 working days
