a) Research and Publication

• To collect, analyze, document, and disseminate research findings and studies conducted internally or in strategic collaboration with local institutions.
• To publish regular and special publications, including the Journal of Public Security and Safety and other non-periodical works.

b) Policy and Security Strategy Analysis

• To manage and conduct comprehensive analyses of policies and strategies related to public safety and security.
• To undertake scenario development, technological foresight, and feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of new policies, strategies, methods, and systems, ensuring sustained public safety and security.
•To serve as a think tank and platform for knowledge exchange and constructive discourse on safety and security issues through seminars, dialogues, and forums with strategic partners at both national and international levels.

c) Strategic Cooperation Functions

• To plan, coordinate, and monitor strategic cooperation programs involving agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs, other government ministries, industry stakeholders, and non-governmental organizations.
• To act as the central liaison for strategic cooperation programs overseen by the Ministry of Finance.

d) Administrative Functions

• The Administrative Unit is responsible for managing administrative tasks and providing support services essential to the effective operation of IPSOM.
