1.    Prepare proposal paper for senior management perusal to improve the implementation of policies by the Malaysian Prison Department, National Anti-Drugs Agency and Volunteers Department of Malaysia within 14 days from the date of receipt of complete suggestions, complaints or feedback.

2.     Prepare policy papers with regards to the drafting of new laws and amendment of laws related to prisons, anti-drugs and Volunteers Department for higher management of Ministry of Home Affairs’ perusal within 14 days.

3.     Prepare Parliamentary answers related to prisons, anti-drugs and Volunteers Department within 7 days after receiving inputs from Departments/ Agencies.

4.     Prepare memorandums to the Cabinet related to Prisons, Anti-Drugs and Volunteers Department within 14 days after receiving complete inputs from Departments/ Agencies.

5.     Prepare notes to the Cabinet related to Prisons, Anti-Drugs and Volunteers Department within 14 days after completion of program or after receiving complete inputs from Departments/ Agencies.

6.      Prepare Division’s feedback on policy matters related to Prisons, Anti-Drugs and Volunteers Department when requested from various governmental agencies or public within 7 days.

7.      Prepare Division’s views and comments on Cabinet memorandums from other Ministries within 7 days.

8.   Obtain approval for the appointment of members of Board of Visitors in prisons, Henry Gurney Schools, Rehabilitation Centres and Drug Rehabilitation Centres within 3 months.
