Foreign Domestic Helper refers to female workers granted a Temporary Employment Visit Pass to work in the domestic helper sector. Applications for hiring Foreign Domestic Helpers can be submitted to the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

Currently, only five source countries are permitted for hiring Foreign Domestic Helpers:

• Indonesia
• Thailand
• Cambodia
• The Philippines
• Sri Lanka

Applications for hiring Female Foreign Domestic Helpers from non-source countries can be submitted to the Immigration Affairs Division for consideration and approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
