Application for Film Import Permit
Processing and Issuing Film or Film Publicity Material Import Permits
Purpose
Film owners or owners of imported film publicity materials from abroad are required to obtain a Film Permit issued by the Film Censorship Board for the purpose of releasing the film or publicity material from customs detention by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
General Requirements
Film/Film Publicity Material Permit Application Form. The form can be downloaded from this website and submitted to the following addresses:
Film Censorship and Enforcement Division Level 2, Block D2, Complex D Federal Government Administrative Centre 62546 Putrajaya; or
Film Censorship and Enforcement Division Ministry of Home Affairs Sabah Level 3, Block A, Sabah Federal Government Administrative Complex, Jalan UMS-Sulaman, Likas 88400 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; or
Film Censorship and Enforcement Division Ministry of Home Affairs Sarawak Level 2, Wisma Am Finance Jalan Hj. Taha 93400 Kuching, Sarawak.
Original receipt and a copy of the FINAS payment, which can be made at the FINAS office.
A complete Permit application will be processed and the Film Permit will be issued immediately.
