APPEAL OF ORGANIZATION

An organization may submit an appeal to the Minister of Home Affairs at the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (JPPM) within 30 days from the date of the Registrar's decision on any matter specified under Section 18 of the Societies Act 1966 [Act 335], as follows:

a) Cancellation of the organization's registration under Section 2A;

b) Refusal to register the organization under Section 7;

c) Refusal to grant exemption under Section 9A (4) for a qualified person to hold a position in any registered organization;

d) Refusal to approve the change of the organization's name or place of operation, or amendments to its rules under Section 11;

e) Refusal to approve the establishment of a branch of the organization under Section 12;

f) Cancellation of the organization's registration under Section 13;

g) Order to prohibit non-citizens from holding positions in an organization or prohibiting associations, connections, communication, or other dealings with any organization outside the Federation, and other matters specified in Section 13A (1);

h) Order to amend the organization's rules or constitution under Section 13A (2);

i) Refusal to approve an auditor or approval of an auditor that is unacceptable to the organization under Section 14 (4);

j) Issuance of a temporary order to dissolve the organization under Section 14 (5);

k) Cancellation of the registration of a registered organization under Section 16 for failure to resolve internal disputes;

l) Refusal to grant permission under Section 49 to hold a position.
