Application Requirements

  1. Appellants are required to submit their appeal to the Security and Public Order Division, Ministry of Home Affairs.

  2. The appeal must be submitted in the form of an official letter, and a copy of the rejection letter issued by the Inspector-General of Police must be enclosed.

  3. The appeal must be submitted within thirty (30) working days from the date of the rejection letter issued by the Inspector-General of Police.

  4. For applications rejected by the State Chief of Police, appellants are advised to submit an appeal to the Inspector-General of Police within thirty (30) days from the date of the original rejection.

  5. Appellants are also advised to submit relevant supporting documents in order to update information related to the appeal.

  6. Upon receipt of a complete appeal, the Ministry will issue an acknowledgment letter confirming the acceptance of the appeal. The appellant will be assigned a Ministry file reference number (e.g. KDN.S.32/62 PT 17000). The final number refers to the appellant’s reference number for the purpose of future enquiries.
